Assam’s Semiconductor Project to Generate 15,700 Jobs Across Various Sectors
Semiconductor Project in Jagiroad: The upcoming semiconductor unit in Jagiroad will generate direct employment for over 15,700 individuals. Tata Electronics, in collaboration with educational institutions, is actively preparing skilled manpower for the project.
Workforce Requirements:
600 managers and leadership personnel
1,700 engineers
1,000 supervisors
1,600 quality and store maintenance staff
2,200 service personnel
9,000 operators and technicians
Government and Industry Collaboration: The Assam government is closely monitoring the project to ensure timely completion. Tata Electronics is also fostering industry ecosystem development through a strategic two-pronged approach to drive long-term growth.
Skill Development & Industry Growth: Through partnerships with academic institutions, Tata Electronics aims to upgrade study programs, provide industry exposure, and create a skilled talent pool.
