Semiconductor Collaboration: The Chief Minister met with representatives from Renesas Electronics, a leading Japanese semiconductor manufacturer, to discuss the under-construction semiconductor plant at Jagiroad. The plant is expected to produce approximately 48 million chips daily, significantly contributing to India’s semiconductor industry.

Japanese Industrial Park: Plans are underway to establish a dedicated Japanese industrial town near Guwahati. This initiative aims to attract Japanese investments and promote industrial growth in sectors like electronics, robotics, and renewable energy.

Skill Development Initiatives: A Japan-assisted Skill Training Centre is being developed at Amingaon in collaboration with ASEAN-One Co. Once operational, the centre is expected to benefit up to 50,000 youth in Assam, equipping them with skills for global employment, particularly in Japan.
