India’s Blueprint for Clean Drinking Water, The Government of India has been focusing on providing universal access to safe and clean drinking water under the flagship program Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The initiative gained global recognition at the UN 2023 Water Conference for its ambitious and people-centric approach.

Launched in 2019, it aims to provide Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) to every rural household by 2024.
