Led by Key Organizations: The demonstrations were spearheaded by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Asom Unnati Sabha, highlighting concerns over rising drug abuse and its societal impact.
Major Rally in Guwahati: The All Kamrup Metropolitan District Students’ Union organized a rally from Shaheed Trust, where students from various institutions marched with banners, urging stronger legal action and enforcement measures.
Leadership & Concerns: AASU leaders, including Chief Advisor Samujjal Bhattacharyya and President Utpal Sharma, actively participated, emphasizing the urgent need to combat the growing drug menace threatening Assam’s social fabric.
