PM Modi Urges Centre and States to Collaborate as ‘Team India’ for Accelerated Development

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Emphasizing the theme ‘Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat@2047’, he called upon the Union government and states to work together as ‘Team India’ to expedite the nation’s development.

  • PM Modi highlighted the importance of making each state, city, municipality, and village developed to achieve the collective goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) before 2047. He also suggested that each state should develop at least one tourist destination of global standards, which would, in turn, boost the development of neighboring cities.
  • Addressing the rapid urbanization of India, the Prime Minister stressed the need to create future-ready cities driven by growth, innovation, and sustainability. He also underscored the importance of integrating women respectfully into the workforce through appropriate laws and policies.
